One of the best burgers, wings, and daiquiri- in awhile. The mushroom & Swiss burger is fantastic! All the food was great! We went two nights in a row. We had several daiquiris, and ate with a banana flavor- that was like a dessert shake.
The service was excellent. There were several games on the televisions.
My only suggestion: clean or polish under the middle of the daiquiri machine trays, near the middle wall. It looks like mold, but I think it may just be residue from the machines running. Either way, it "appears" dirty. Almost didn't order food, but I'm damn glad we did.
Keep up the good work! -

I make it a point to stop in at Dix every time I come to Lafayette. I've only ever been here for lunch, but this hamburger steak is . Great sides. Service has always been fast and friendly and it's never busy at lunch. Reasonably priced as well.

The daiquiris might be good but skip the hamburger steak lunch. Mine was burnt done not cooked. I didn't have time to get another order so thanks to a big pile of ketchup I ate enough to get by. Potatoes and green beans was so so

The daiquiris are wonderful here but the service is not real great. I just sat in the drive-through for 10 minutes and no one ever came to Take myOrder. Yes, I did flip that switch. I had to call the store and ask them if anyone was working in the drive-through before anybody came to the window.

Shrimp stew is served every Friday in almost every restaurant in Lafayette. I am making it my mission to eat shrimp stew every Friday at a different restaurant. This was my second stop. I am looking for the best Shrimp Stew in the Lafayette area. First this was not a stew. It was a white gravy of some kind and it had a flour taste with loads of salt and red pepper.
Shrimp stew is made with a dark roux. Second, the shrimp were tasteless and not fresh and the rice was mushy. I threw it away, I just should have thrown $12 out the window. I am sure they have other good things but do not eat the plate lunches. Not worth it!
Also the staff is not very friendly.
